Mrs. Ciiristixa Keed. 100 Mound St., I'eoria, 111. Another Operation Avoided. New Orleans, La. "For years I suf fered from severe female troubles. Finally I was confined to my bed and the doctor said an operation was neces sary. I gave Lydia E. Pinkham's Veg etable Compound a trial first, and was saved from an operation." Mrs. Lily Peykoux, 1111 Kerlerec St., New Orleans, La. The great volume of unsolicited tes imony constantly pouring in proves inclusively that Lydia E. Pinkham's I egetable Compound is a remarkable imady for those distressing feminine "-.my, which bo many women suffer. Mi "Duke" Hirschberg, brother of Joe, had arrived from Eola, and Mr. Nels had become mixed in the names. Eola looks like Pasen la print when a man sells hops, smells hops, drinks hops, or even thinks hops, and Kola was doing the thinking when the Duke arrived. MADAM SHERRY AT THE GRAND SATURDAY EVE. Critics throuhgout the land have tried to define the wonderful charm of "Madame Sherry", and after ex hausting their supply of flattering adjectives have ended up by saying that it is simply one of those rarely perfect productions that an audience cannot help but thoroughly enjoy. This seems to be the secret of the great success of this novel gaiety which ,has taken the land by storm from New York to San Francisco, and which local playgoers will be fortunate enough to see at the Grand Opera House, Saturday night, April 8. It Is the first instance of a big success like "Madame Sherry" com ing to the coast within the first year of its American production, and the public everywhere has shown its ap preciation of this early visit. "Ma dame Sherry" has played to over flowing audiences wherever It has ap peared, and from the Interest already displayed in the local engagement, the same condition will obtain in this city. Seats will go on sale next Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the box office. o GItcs Aid to Strikers.
