Sam uel Bailey, formerly employed on the Barnhart farmland a woman clrtm klng to be his wife, were arrested to day as suspects In the Olathe murder case, In which Mrs. Earnhardt, her on and two men were killed. The pair were arrested on the strength of a statement by John Fea gles,.who Is also under arrest as a suspect, that George Barnhardt, one of the vitMms, had quarreled with Bailey shortly before the murders. Barnhardt's bat was in Bailey's pos session wh-cn the officers placed bim under arrest. Mexico City, Dec. 14. The extent of the two-day battle near Guerrero was made public today by the war de-' partment. It was stated that 300 rebels engaged In conflict with 600 federal troops, under General Navar-' ro, and that tha lnsurrectors were thrice driven back, leaving their dead, In the trenches. ' I Official dispatches state that 70 ! rebels and 14 federal soldiers were killed and ISO Insurgents and 80 reg ular soldiers wounded. General Navarro planned Monday to recapture Guerrero, and advanced upon the town. The rebels were en trenched several miles from Guerrer ro.and, after a stubborn fight, were dlBlodged. They retired to a second line of trenches, and again were driv en out under a heavy fire of rifle and machine guns.
