CONSTIPATION AND
APPENDICITIS
Tin- Latter I'Minlly CiiiimmI by the
Former, Which, lit Turn, lias lis
Origin iu IiiU'Mliiul Indigestion.
Chronic constipation Is n dlsoas
which Is about as prevalent as dys
pepsia and indigestion. Noarly ovary
one suffers from It occasionally, but
there are millions of people, who en
dure it habitually, and who aro ac
customed to roeort to tho uso of laxa
tives and cathartics dally.
Many pooeplo soomod to have do
volopod a perfect mania for taking
pills, and instead of trying to nscor
tln the latent causo of tho disease
and n-movlng it by appropriate treat
inent they nro content to continue
the reckless uso of laxatives, apor
ionts, drastic cathartics and violent
purgativos.untll finally inflammation
of tho bowels occurs, which reaches
the appondlx and tho result Is appen
dicitis. In investigating nml trncing tho
cnusatlvo factors of constipation and
Its frequent sequel .appendicitis, It
has been noted by physicians that tho
majority of cases wcro preceded and
accompanied by a long-standing gas-tro-lntesttnny
indigestion.
The Idoa that nppondlcltls is
brought on by foreign bodies, such
ns seeds, etc., becoming lodgod In tho
appendix, Is an exploded theory. It Is
now definitely known that constipa
tion Is tho most prolific causo of this
dread disease, whilo tho constipation
Itself Is previously Induced by lntos
tlnal lndlgostlon, or nmylaceous dys
peptla tho Inability to digest star
ches so the relation between cause
and effect Is readily seen and appre
ciated.
The absurdity of attempting to
cure constipation by tho use of phy
sic should be apparent to every one.
Laxative drugs and powerful purga
tles will never euro a dlsoase of this
ort. and those who make frequent
or regular use of them will, sooner
or later set up an Inflammatory
condition of the intestinal system.
A person with first class digestion
will never be annoyed with chronic
constipation, and when this trouble
does exist. Instead of slugging the
system with pills, liquid laxatives,
randy cathartics ,utc., use a remedy
which will cure tho gustro-lutastlunl
Indigestion, and you will find that
the coiihllpHtlon no longer bothers
you. and with Its removal the risk of
developing appendicitis will Ixi re
duced to the minimum.
STUART'S DYSPHPSIA TAI1LUTS
have boon the menus of curing nu
merous cases of constipation by first
curing the Intestinal indigestion. They
digest every kind of food, a single
grain being capable of digesting 3000
grains of allmentum, and In addition
to pwlu and other powerful diges
tives they also contain diastase which
converts starch into sugar and read
ily cures amylacoous dyspepsia and
intestinal indigestion.
If you are suffering from dyspepsia
constipation, and. In fact, Indigestion
of any kind, don't run the risk of
getting appendicitis, but strike at thu
root of the trouble the original
nuiae by using Stuart's Dyspepsia
Tablets, which will quickly rid ynu of
all functional disorders of the alimen
tary tract.
