forty-two departments and thirty

ANDJHJOR FACTORY
The proprietor of UiIb largo man
ufacturing establishment, Mr. An
drew M. Hansen, is a pioneer In this
line and grow up in tho buslttCHS
from boyhood. Ho has grown with
the business, and bus mastered the
details of tirchltociuro to such an
extent that ho can furnish not only
the mill work but tho bill or lumber
and all tho plans and specifications
for ii cottage or residence, and de
liver tho materials In flno workman
like shape. Ho has In tho past year
spent $3000 on now buildings, and
added machinery until ho has now
the largest and most complete plant
of the kind In tho city, or In this
portion of tho state. He Is putting
in two elevators and a suite of of
fices for accounting and draughting,
n Church street. The whole plant
Is steam heated. A now boiler room
and lumber sheds have been added,
as well as a large veneering room
Among other machinery a now stjlo
largo sand-papering machine has
been added, which finishes doors and
windows and all Inside work so per
fectly that It goes out of the shop
ready for the painter s brush, at a
cost of $1500. The flnost paneled
and vouoered oak and other hard
wood doors are made at this shop,
which employs from twouty to thirty
hands and has a payroll of from
$300 to M00 per woek. Mr. Hansen
Is a progressive and public spirited
citizen, who bellovos In koaplng fully
abreast of tho times. Ho has Juf.
begun building now sldowalks on
both sides of his plant without wait
ing to bo ordorod to do so by tho
city authorities, thus sotting a good
example to the rost of tho community.
