The Now Street SiiHh.
Tho new street suits aro very
smart nnd pretty indeed. A great
deal of gray is to bo worn. Shades
of green will be popular In tailor
gowns nnd dark blue will bo much
worn. Some of these suits aro
made with pleated skirts but tho
majority of the skirts are gored. Tim
coats aro eoml-flttlng and longer than
they have been for years, running
from 40 to 50 inches. Many of
these suits aro made moro elaborate
by collar and cuffs of velvet or fancy
waistcoats. Ono very attractive gray
suit has collar and cuffs of Jacquo
menot valvet braided In dull gold.
Abluosult trimmed elaborately with
black silk braid and largo braid-covered
buttons of an oval shape Is also
modish.
Fashionable Fabric.

tones, brown and greens, hluea, reds
and other colors are combined with
black.
Serges in plain, diagonal and
chevron stripes make especially mbo

They aro usually trimmed with braid.
This is to be a velvet season as
the Dlrectolre fashions with their
clinging sklrta are especially lovely
when made up in this rich fabric.
The long velvet coat worn with the
satin or cloth skirt will be a feature'
of the season. Broadcloth is as
