Railway Sued.
Mrs. Laura Palmer has brought
suit in the circuit court againBt the
Portlnnd Railway, Light & Power
company to collect $10,000 damages
for injuries sustained in nn accident
latt August on the corner of State
and Cottage 6treet.
The complaint alleges that Mrs.
Palmer was driving in a buggy
across the car track when the car
struck the vehicle, throwing its oc
cupant to the ground. Mrs. Palmar
was madly onused and cut, and as a
result of tho accident, the complaint
states, sho Is left childless. This
latter reason la tho principal caus
of tho largo amount of damages
prayed for. Carson and Brown are
the attomoya for tho plaintiff.

came up for hearing before Judge
Webster' at 10' o'clock th!p morning.
H3 waived examination, and was
bonnd over to tho circuit court with
out ball. Stanton was not represent
ed by an attorney, but the Judge In
structed him what his privileges
were tIn the case, and he chose to
have his first hearing before the cir
cuit court.
Dr. Morse stated that Goode was
now beyond the dnnger point, but
that it was Impossible to tell what
complications might set in. Stanton
cannot bo released on ball until
there is no possible doubt is to the
outcome of Goode's accident.
