A. Leo offered the following resolu
tion for ndoption by the Doard of
Educatien:
"Whoreas, At tho Arbor Day i-er-clses
In 1907 It was proposed to
name tho North Salem school, Grant
School, In honor of the lato Prosident
and general of tho armies of the
United States, and
Whereas, By a rising vote It wns
decided by Alio largo assembly of cit
izens present at that meeting that
tho North School be so named, therc

Resolved, By the Board of Edu
cation of Salem District No. 24, that
this board ofllclally recognize thai
act of the citizens and that the North
Salorn School horenftor be officially
designated in our proceedings as the
Grant School of this district.
