tional forest, in Northeastern Cali
fornia. With tho excoptlon of a Bmall

forest by this proclamation aro situ
ated In Modoo county. Tho exact
area of tho additions Is 570,000
acres, which brings tho total area
of tho forest iup to 859,018 acres. Tho
land proclaimed a part of tho Modoc
foroat will bo put undoY administra
tion at onco, with Suporvlsor C. E.
Rachford, whoso hoadquartors Is at
Alturns, California, In charge. Tho
additions to 4ho forest have a etnnd
