being that after ho had dressed he

sheriff did not tako him to Jail.
George Smith and Walter Oliver woro
soon arrested and all indicted by
Deputy District Attorney Cooper for
burglary. Waiving examination,
Justice White, bound ithem over to tho
circuit court, placing tho bail at
$1000 each. Catterlin and Oliver
furnished tho bond and Loll nnd
Smith woro locked up in tho coun
ty Jail.
It was fortunato for Eugene Jon
kins that 'Morton happened to bo In
tho store, for tho youthful burglars
could havo carried off 'several thou
sand dollars worth of Jewelry and
taken about $350 from tho safe,
which was not locked (that night.
