The Jury In the case of the Krebs
Hop Company vs. T. a. iivesiuy
Co. yestreday aftornoon returned a
verdict for the plnlntlff for $C000.
The case aroie over tho dlfteronce
In price of hops on October 15, 1907,
and a contract price agreed upon be
tween the two parties.
The Krebs Hop Company, In 1905,
contracted to deliver to T. A. Llvesley
& Company 100,000 pounds of hops
each year for five years at 14 cents
per pound. Tho first lot in iduo was
delivered, but In 190G tho price of
hops decreased, and a suit followed.
The case was appealed to the supreme
court, where a decision was given In
favor of the Krebs Company, and, as
a result tho Llvosloy yard waR at
tached. Tho same trouble arose laat sea
son, and terminated In yostorday's
decision aftor a trial boforo Judge
Burnett.
The Jury was out only about 15
minutes, and roturnod with the ver
dict which was for the amount asked
by tho Krebs Compnny.
Carson &. Cannon represented the
plaintiff, while Tllmon Ford was tho
attorney for the defense.
