Tho transportation chargo on a two pound can of cnuncd goods is about one-third of a cent, and on butter about slx-tcntliB of n cent per pound. Although tho Pennsylvania lines nro the only railroads serving this roglon thoy hnvo maintained this standard of charges throughout tho past twolvo or llfteon years, with tho exception that they were consider ably reduced during tho depression that followed 1893.
