A. T. Gruett, who visited what is
known as Sulphur Springs, some twen-ty-fivo
miles 60uth of this city and in
Lane, last Sunday, has quite an inter
esting report to mako of the spring.
It appears that many years ago there
was a common pitcher pump pipe sunk
into tho spring anld cemented there.
For years tho spring gavo forth just
enough water to flow out of th6 pipe
freely. Sinco t ho disastrous earth
quako at San Francisco the spring is
no longer a "flower," but a "gusher."
