While attempting to start a fire with
kerosene Monday morning, Vletorm
Peterson, a 14-year-oW girl employed
as a domeetie at the M4ouri hotol at
Troutdsle, was frightfully burned. She
was removed to Good Samaritan hos
pital, Portland, where she died at 18:46
Tuesday afternoon.
The girl had built a fire whleh al
most wvat oat, ami she was trying te
reuvo the flata. Unable to do so by
fanning it and other moans, sho eefaed
