osition of tho employers, upon which

showed talk of calling n goncrnl strlko
and tying up tho business of this city.
Horetoforo ho hns opposed this, nrgu
ing that tbo strength of tho teamsters
lay in keeping n lnrgo portion of tha
men nt work, in order to furnish strlko
benefits. Shea said if it was submit
ted by tho penco committee, it was not
improbnblo they would bo nsked to voto
on n goncral strlko proposition.
