ROM GIRLHOOD TO WOMANHOOD
Bothers Should Watch the Development of Their Daughters-
Interesting Experiences of Misses Barman and Mills.
ZyMATtLDA BORMAN (Jj & MYRTLE MILLS ((C
Everv mother possesses information
Iwhich is of vital interest to her younir
daughter.
Too often this is never imparted or is
Swithheld until serious harm has result
led to the prowintr girl throuph her
ignorance of nature's mysterious and
I wonderful laws and penalties.
Girls' over-sensitiveness and modesty
often puzzlo their mothers and baffle
physicians, as they so often withhold
their confidence from their mothers
'and conceal the symptoms which ought
to be told to their physician at this
critical period.
When a girl's thoughts become slucr-
irish. with headache, dizziness or a dis-
I position to sleep, pains in back or lower
limbs, eyes dim, desire for solitude;
i when she is a mystery to herself and
friends, her mother should come to her
' aid, and remember that Lydia E. Pink-
i ham's Vegetable Compound will at
this time prepare tho system for the
coming change, and start the menstrual
period in a young pirl's life without
pain or irregularities.
Hundreds of letters from vouncr irirls
fnnd from mothers, expressing their
F gratitude for what Lydia E. Pinkhum's
! Vegetable Compound has accomplished
I for them, have been received by tho
fi Lydia E. Pinkham Medicine Co., at
Lynn, Mass.
Miss Mills has written the two fol
lowing letters to Mrs. Pinkham, which
will bo read with interest :
Dear Mrs. Pinkham: (First Letter.)
4 'I am but fifteen vonrs of mro. n.m rinnrAssfld .
h&yo-dizzy spoils, chills, headache and back-
i
ache, and as I have heard that you can clve
helpful advice to girls in my condition, Tarn
writing you ."Myrtle Mills, Oquawka, I1L
Dear Mrs. Pinkham: (Second Letter.)
" It is with tho fooling of utmost gratitude
that I writo to you to toll you what your
valuable modlclno has dono for mo. AVhon I
wrote you in regard to my condition I had
consulted several doctor?, but they failod to
understand my case ana I did not recoiro
any benefit from their treatment. I followed
your udvico, and took Lydia E. Pinkham's
Vegetable Compound ana am now healthy
ond well, and all tho distressing symptoms
which I had at that time have disappeared."
Myrtle Mills, Oquawka, 111.
Miss Matilda Borman writes Mrs.
Pinkham as follows :
Dear Mrs. Pinkham :
" Before taking Lydia E. Pinkham's Vege
table Compound my monthlies were irregu
lar and painful, and I always had such
dreadful headaches.
" But since taking tho Compound my head
aches have entirely loft mo, my monthlies are
regular, and I am getting strong and woll. I
am tolling all my girl friends what Lydia IS.
Pinkham's Vogetablo Compound has done for
me,
am tolling all my girl)
Matilda Borman, Farmington, Iowa.
If you know of any young girl who
is sick and needs motherly advice, ask
her to address Mrs. Pinkham at Lynn.
Mass., and tell her every detail of her
symptoms, and to keep nothing back.
She will receive advice absolutely free,
from'a source that has no rival in tho
experience of woman's ills, and it will, if
followed, put her on tho right road to a
strong, healthy and happy womanhood.
Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Com
pound holds tho record for tho greatest
number of cures of female ills of any
medicine that tho world has ever
known. Why don't you try it ?

Among Jfcw York's titled-residents
none is moro distinguished by birth

She happens to bo wealthy and has

Charcoal is a rotnody that tho moro
you tako of. it tho bettor; it is not a
drug at all, but simply absorbs tho
gasos and impuritios always prcsont
in tho Btomach and iutestinos nnd
carrios thorn out of tho systom.
Charcoal swotons tho breath after
Bmoklng, drinking or aftor eating
onions and other odorous vogotnblos.
Charcoal offoctually clears and im
proves tho comploxiou, it whitens tho
tooth nnd further acts as a natural
and cminontly safo cathartic.
It nbsorbs tho injurious gasos which
colloct in tho stomach nnd bowels; it
disinfects tho' mouth and throat from
tho poisoa of catarrh.
All druggists sell charcoal in ono
form or another, but probably tho best
charcoal and tho most for tho monoy
is in Stuart's Charcoal Lozongcs; thoy
aro composed of tho finost powdorod
Willow charcoal, and othor harmloss
antisoptics in tablot form or rathor in
tho form of largo, ploasant tasting
lozenges, tho charcoal being mixed
with honoy.
Tho dnily uso of theso lozongcs will

tion of tho gcnornl health, hotter com
plexion, sweeter breath and purtr
bloofl, nnd tho benuy of it is, that no
possiblo harm can roBult from tholr
continuod uso, but on tho contrary,
great benefit.
A Buffalo physician in spoaking of
tho bonofits of charcoal, says: "I ad

ach and bowols, and to clear the com
plexion and purify tho breath, moith

in Stuart's Charcoal Lozongcs than
in any of tho ordinary charcoal tab-lots."
