men. Dr. K. M. Buckley, tho Metho
dist editor of tho Now York Christian
Advocate, wns tho first witness, and
told of his visit to Utah 25 years ago.
Ho saw Brlghnm Young, and heard a
sermon on Mormonism by Austin Pratt,
and nlso interviewed George Smjitb,
one of tho directors of the church. Ho
wns considered a possiblo convert. Ho
went again last Juno, nnd attended
services at tho tnbornaclo both times.

reports for his paper, including speech-
