O. WRIGHT, Sec The recent marriazo of a couple of cripples, each having only half tne proper comple ment of arms and legs, was noted ly the press as a "con nubial curios ity." But who notes the mar riages which occur daily in which both par ties are cripples in health. Crippled health means, as a rule, in sufficient nutrition, and lack of nutrition points to disease of the stomach and di gestive and nutritive tract. Doctor Pierce's Golden Medical Dis covery cures diseases of the stomach and other organs of digestion ana nuinuon. ncnsoics the perfect nourishment of the bodv. and so builds it up in sound health and strength. "I had been a great utferer from indigestion for the taut nine years. writes Mr. Margaret Stingle. of Owtngs Mills, Baltimore Co., Md. I wu uch a wreck It eeme death was near, but to-day can say I feel like another woman I hare received much and lasting good from Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery and ' Favorite Fescription,' I have taken twenty-five bottles in all, and foUowed the advice of Or. R. V. Pierce, and am happy to say that life is worth living now A. thousand thanks for your treatment." Do not be cajoled into trading a sub stance for a shadow. Any substitute offered as "just ns good" as "Golden Medical Discovery " is a shadow of that medicine. There are cures behind every claim made for the " Discovery." The Common Sense Medical Adviser, 1008 large pages, in paper covers, is sent free on receipt of twenty-one one-cent stamps to pav expense of mailing only. Address Dr. R. V. Pierce, Buffalo, N. LOGGING LARGE DRIVE One of tho most interesting sights ever seen along the Willamette was tho clean-up of the gang of men of the Spauldlng company as they dis lodged the logs which' had accumu lated in tho drive down the river, says the Albany Democrat. Tho corn many had seven million feet of logs in tho Willamette, which were cant hooked from tho banks along this city at 10 o'clock today. A forcefpf about 25 men did tho interesting work in two squads, one on each side of tho river. Several exports manipulated the rolling, slippery logs with an ease that attracted attention, often taking the smallest log to be found and run ning it as smoothly as a boat. In shallow places horses aro required for the work, and they seem to en joy it as much as tho men, Ono ani mal has been with Mr. Spauldlng six years and Js never so happy as when driven Into a stream. Two rafts ard used for tho horses and a blggor ono with a cover for the sleeping and din ing necessities of the trip. It is hard, hungry work, and some days four meals is the order. Many a ducking is gotten, and part of tho work itself is in tho water. When tho camp passes a town tho boys sometimes have a time. One who drew ?5 last night, this morning remarked, "but I haven't got It now." The logs aro taken to Newberg, where there Is a big mill, and to tho paper mill at Oregon City. They are white and red fir and some hard wood mixed with 1U Besides the work of driving it means months of hard world by a' large force of mon up towards the head waters In falling and rolling them Into the water for their rldo down stream. Do It ioaay. Tho time-worn Injunction, "Never put off 'till tomorrow what you can do today," Is now generally present ed In this ferm: "Do it today!" That Is the terse advise we want to give you about that hacking cough or de moralizing cold with which you havo been struggling for several days, pep haps weeks. Take some rellablo reme dy for It TODAY and let that remedy be Dr. Boscheo's German Syrup, which has been in use for over thlrty-flvo years. A few doses of it will undbubk edly relieve your cough or cold, and Its continued use for a few days will euro you completely. No matter how deep-seated your cough, oven if dread consumption has attacked your lungs, German Syrup will surely effect a cure as It has done before in thou sands of apparently hopeless cases of lung trouble.
