and favorably known throughout the

still In tho prime of llfo, had laid

of recent years, and a few yoars ago
he built a flno resldoneo In Portland,
removing to that city last year, to
give his children tho advantages to be
derived from tho oxcollont school fa
cilities to bo had there. He still re
tains his business Interests In the vol-
loy, at Albany and hore, and his- Infliv
onco In his lino was felt thronchnnt
tho stat.
Mr. Faber was a man of tho highest
Integrity, of genorous ImpulBoa, and
had many warm friends" wherovcr ho
was known. In fact, It might bo said
of him thnt enemies ho had none, for
ho wnH not tho man to offend any one.

acquaintance with him. Especially
popular was ho In business circles in
