Thorson, Eugene Schow, Fred Itock and F. . McCulty. II. post of Pendleton, and many leading citlsens of Umatilla county, including n number of the court offi cials. Tho pardon was granted In view of the service the old man has rendered his country, and tho fact that, in view of his age, he has been sufficiently punished by faithfully serving one-half of the sentence im posed.
