A fire was discovered in tho olosot
of tho Last Chanco saloon about 0
o'clock last night, having started In
soma rubbish and paper piled up. For
ttinntoly It had not gottan much of a
start, and was easily extinguished.
About 2 o'clock this mornlmr Mrs.
Cnso. residing In the Ilaltlmoro block,
discovered a fire nt the end of the Al
bany Plnnlnu Mill Company's build
ing, set in a pllo of sticks nnd kindling
wood. Insldo was tho sawdust pllo.
They had been thoroughly wot down
tho evening before. An alarm was
given, but tho flames wero extin
guished boforo tho arrival of tho en
