Burial took place In the Ctaggett cem
etery. Mr. Ctaggett was well known- to
nearly all the obi settlers In Western
Oregon. He was recognised here as
a man of great Industry aad of pro
gressive ideas. While always taking
aa acUve Interest la all public af
fairs, he was never a candidate for
any office. Until about six years ago,
he was a member of every Republican
county convention held In this county,
aad was prominent in the councils of
his party.. His physical and mental
activity continued until a few woeks
ago, when a slight illness confined him
to his room, finally resulting In his
death. He left an estate valued at
about $20,000.

county, Washington, was In the city
today, and, -upon, requisition of Gov
ernor Mcllride, of Washington, received
from Gov, Gear warrants of arrest
for Marl Hansen, Fred Illckel and
George Hart, who are wanted In Yak
Ima oount'. Washington, for the lar
ceny of a band o 7 horses. Hansen
la under arrest at Htllsboro, Washing
ton county, and the other two of the
trio are la custody at Vancouver.
Washington. Sheriff Tucker goes to
Portland this afternoon, and theace to
HIHeuoro to get Hansen. He expects
to have further trouble in getting Han
sen out of the state, aa the fellow ts
nghtlng against extradition.
Sheriff Tucker says that the three
