of the advantages of securing an edu

and attempt to secure their attendance
at that Institution. Superintendent
Jones says there Is not u state law
making the education of the blind com
pulsory, as Is the case with the deaf,
and tor that reason the care and edu
cation of the blind Is neglected, when
they are young, for the reason that
their iwirettts dislike to have them
leave Uowe. It is the uuriHMO of Su
perintendent Jones oh this trip to In
terest the parents In the education of
the unfortunate blind, that there may
be an Increased attendance at the
