Many unrecorded deeds of real
property can be brought to light at
almost a moment's notice. 1'eople
seem to be either very Ignorant of the
law or very careless. This negligence
or Ignorance, or whatever It may be
termed, may prove expensive in the
long run. There Is a law whUh rends
that deeds, to be valid, must be re
corded within live days fiom the date
of conveyance of same.
On page 1H0I, lllll'a Annotated Laws
of Oregon. IK87. Is an article which
reads "ICvery conveyance of real
pioperty within this state hereafter
made, whlih shall not be recorded as
provided lu this title within five days
thereafter shall be void against any
subsequent purchaser In good faith,
and for a valuable consideration or the
same real property, or any portion
thereof, wluwe conveyance shall be
first duly rocordml.
