William Brophy, Hie short man of tho
Dominion Creek hold-up, for whom a
t500 reward was offered by tho Govern
ment, was captured last night at a road
house eight miles from Dawson on Bo
nanza Greet, by four members of tho
Northwest mounted police. He carried
a rifle but had no chance to use it. as
the police jumped him from behind. In
the fcufle Brophy was shot, but not ser
iously. Ho was brought to jail this
morning. All three men connected
with the robbery, Tommrlln, Bropby and
Harri, aro now In Jail. Bropby held up
a man on Bonanza four nights ago, rob
bing him of four ounces of dust, and it

that his whereabouts were fixed,
