This suit was brought by Tilmon Ford,

tostlmony of the defendnnt is uphold, it
will he to tho effect that Lucas was a
tub-contractor, and as such would
havo a right to uso tho money given
him on the contract in whatever
manner ho chose. Tills viow can
hardly bo taken, howovor, us
it was admitted by all that no bond
waiglvon, as surety for tho performance
of the contract, and there Is a United
Status statute providing that no man
shall hold a sub-contract without fur
nishing a bond.
