from McNeill's Island reports that W.
D. Bnydor, sent up from Idaho, and
James Carrdll, an Alaska murdoror, and
Harry Davis, a Nomo larcculst, were
captured that evoning about S o'clock
by Deputy Sheriff Johnson and a sailor
from the revenue cutter Manning. Tho
posse ran Into the trio as tho latter r.oro
leaving the woods for the Ix'ncti.
Snyder and Carioll were handcuffed to
gether and tho party stalled fir the pris
on. When they came to a (armhou'o
tho sailor was sent for a pieco of ropo

attempt to swim tojho mainland, ono
milo distant, when ho was takon.
Thirty armed deputlos aro now scour
ing tho Island and two steam launches aro
