son, M. L. Chamberlain, A. O. Condit,
H. J. Fletcher and Simpson. This
recommended that a lory oi eight mills

posos and ono mill tot indebtedness.
This report was adopted, oxcept as to
the ono mill tax. This was thoroughly
unouseou, but Hnally adopted. This In

at 303 Church street.
The ceremony, sunpluand impressive,
was porformed by itav. W. O. Kantnor
of tho First Congregational church. It
was attended only by the relatives and
a few iutiinato friends of the contracting
parties. Tho parlors woro beautifully
arranged, fragrant blossoms of the
season and pungent green leaves from
tho woods bolng used in tho decorations.
Tho largo bow window where the
bridal couplo stood was arranged with
mistletoe ind framed in sprays of fir.
Dotweon tho two parlors was arranged
an arch ol ivy leaves, from tho centre of
, which was suspended a wreath of holly,
which was brlghtoned by a bow of scar
let ribbon to correspond with the bright
berries. Pottod plants and sweet cut
floworsworo placed about tho rooms.,
Tho ball was also decorated with ivy.
Tho wedding march was played by
Miss Du Mars of Portland on tho violin,
uccompanlod by Miss Lola Belle on tho
piano,
Tho brido was eloguntly gowned in
pure white crope do chino elaborated
with laco and pearl trimming, Bho car
riod a bouquet of pink carnations. Tho
groom wore black. Tho costumes of all
tho other Indies present were particu
larly smart and boautifal.
After tho ceremony the party repaired
to the dining room, where tho wedding
luncheon was eorred. During thi func
tion was beard music by Maeler Marl
Sharp on tho violin and a piano
accompanimont by his ela'or,
Miss Laura Sharp. Tho dining
room wus fragrant with the odor of
violets, which witli dainty smllax, wero
used exclusively lor tho table decoration.
Tho room was further beautiful by the
lavonder ribbons suspended from tho
center of tho celling to thecornors ol
tho room,
Tho brido is well known socloty girl of
tho capital city, and is tho oldest daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. II. 8. Delia. The
groom is tho second oldest son of Mr.and
Mrs. II. 8. Young of Walla Walla, In
which city he was born and raised. Ho
is ono ol tho most popular young men of
thatuity. Ho is employed as baggage
ageut of tho O. It. & N.Co. at that place.
Mr, and Mrs. Young will leave on this
evening's train for Portland and on Wed
needay will procoed to their homo at
