stamps it as one of the most dignified
and conservative ecclewastlcal bodies
meeting in Amorioa, consisting as it
does, of all tho bishops in the church,

of large influential parishes. Meeting
with them as delegates are men whose
names aro familiar in every wnlK of life,

Each diocese in tho United States is en
titled to four clerical and four lay dele
gates. From tho missionary jurisdic

one lay delegite.
