were arrested Friday on a warrant Is
sued out of Judgo P.. P Boise's dopnrt-
ment of tho SUto Circuit Court for Ma
rlon county Tho defendants are charg
ed with contempt of court, it being
alleged that they vlolntcd an order,
by Judgo Rolse on tho 10th day of tho
presout month, restraining the Oregon
Packing Co., a corporation, from in any
way Interfering with tho operation, by
O. V. nnd W. Iv. Allen, of tho fruit
dryer and evaporator, belonginu to said
Allen Packing Co. and located on tho
corner of Twelfth nnd Trado streets, in
this city.
On Tuesday Inst It was found that the
piston had been removed from tho sta
tionary engine in the evaporator build
ing. A search warrant wuh issued out
of tho Kaloin JtiBlico Court and placed
in the hands of Shoriif F. W. Durbln,
and that olllrer found thu in. suing prop
erty in the building occupied by tho Al
len Packing Co, It Is alleged that the
piston was lemoved by Ralph Nuchund,
tho night watchman ut the building,
acting under tho order of U. W. Hol
comb, manager of tho Oregon Packing
Co. This boing in direct violation of thu
injunction Issued by Judgo Rolbo, tho
defendants were arrested and placed un
der fl'00 bonds each, to appear before
