Sheriff Durbin has collected about
000 on account of tho 1000 bicyclo tax,
but undor instructions from the County
Court ho has ceased collecting tho tax.
All of tho receipts from this tax last
year were turned into tho county
treasury, but Mr. Durbin says ho will
rotain this year'a tax in his poesession
unloss ordored by tho court to pay it
into tho treasury. Ho said, in answer
to a question, that ho would refuse to
repay tho taxes paid this year, if
demanded by tho persons paying tho
monoy. Since tho law has beendeclared
unconstitutional ho proposes to stop all
operations under the law and hold tho
funds subject to tho order of tho County
Court.

M. Kpply, who accompanied tho re
mains of her mothor, Mrs. D. J. Fry, to
Vinoland, N. J. Tho trip was made
