in view of tho radical departure which

choosing a Hold and forming our lines
for tho bloodless battles now impending,

A lettor from John Kaiser, written at
Nomo City, Juno 23d, to his mother Mrs.
M. J. Knlsor, of Salem, brings tho sad
now 8 of the death of Frank H. Kaisors
who recontly went ' north wltli his
brother, John. They sailed on tho
steamer, Nomo City, and Mr. Kaiser
was sick from tho time of leaving Port
land. He died ono day aftor arriving at
Nomo, whero anothor brother, Walter,
and wife had niready arrived.
Deceased was forty-three years of age,
and ho had a farm four miles north of
Salem. Ho leaves a wlfo and flvo chil
dren to mourn Ills sudden death.
