Osterhnudt, aged "0 years, 0 mouths
and 15 days.
Hiram I). Osterhoudt was born in
Middle tow it, Deltmaro county, New
York, November 23, 1828. Emigrated to
Illinois with his father's family in 1811.
In 1810 ho was married to Miss Eugenia
Iteed, who died two years after tho mar-
riage, leaving ono daughter, Mary A.
O.terhoudt.
On April 21, 1851, ho was married to
Mrs. Caroline M, Moats, with whom ho
removed to Oregon in ISM), locating In
Marion county, where he has sinco con
tinunusly refilled, leading a quiot, eace
fill life, loved and respeotcd by all who
knew him; none being more upright
and honorable in their dealings with
their fellow men than ho. I
Mr. Osterhoudt was taken very end-1
ditnly and alarmingly ill on April 21
w.tli neuralgia of tho heart. Dr. Ran
Min, of Turner, was onlled and gave him '
