daughter of Salmon Ilrown and grand
daughter of John Ilrown the hero of
llari-crs Ferry.
As n violinist Miss Ilrown has great
latent and for her age has achieved
great success. As a young lady, she Is
clever and attractive, a good conver
sationalist and while not a college
gradunto, iifcs excellent laugungo.
Miss Ilrown was converted nt tliu Sal
vation Army a few weeks ago and tins
since Joined the ranks and will go nt
once into the active work. Sim will go
to Portland about tlio first of June and
outer the barracks there and train for
