had them printed, und was selling thorn
here for 5 and 10 cents per copy and ns
much moro as tho buyer cared to do
nnto toward tho very worthy causo.
Tho lady impressed thoso who met her
as being nn honest woman, though some
what unacquainted with tho ways of tho
world, nnd was meeting with very mod
erate eucccss.
Hero was n chnnco for tho morning
paper to distinguish itself In Its favorlto
line of action, by holding somo defenso
less er8on up to tho public gaze in n
disagreeable light. It embraced tho op
portunity nnd gavo , tho ioor woman n
nice send-off as being probably a fraud,
and warned people ngnlnst her. A dny

to it in such n light thnt it took it nil
back, but tho harm was already done.

pour over them tho Banco, cover closely
nnd plnco in n moderate oven for two
