Choral Society expects to go to Dallas,

gend," given at tho Ueed last Thursday,

more than one community on July 4 :

The Stayton and Scio Hotse Race Will
Be Kun at the State Fair Grounds,
The horse race over which there has,
been so much wrangle and strife and
quarreling, which was to have taken
place at Stayton lias filially been set
tled and the race will be finished at Sa
lem in tho near future at the fairgrounds.
The horses are named Bell Flynn
owned nt Stayton by C. Lutat and Pat
Murphy, owned by A. I.. Richardson, of
Scio. The purses now on this race nre

Stayton parties and there will no doubt
be double that nmount when tho race
comes here.
