PONIES AND DOQS PERFORM.
(Same Horse and Dog Sense Displayed
at Noma Bros,' Show.
Norrls Brothers' trained animals en
tertained adnrge audience last evening
at their tent near tho depot, and grown
people as well na children were highly
pleased with the entertainment.
The show has grown since it wns last
here. The trained elephant and tho
trained zebra are new features, and
many of the old acts have been enlarged
and Improved.
The program opened with a grand
march, headed by tho band, followed by
tho clcphnntnnd zebra and the principal
performers of tho troupe. In the mean
time the tableau was formed in the
ring, poi i s, (logs, zobra nnd elephant
taking part in tho same.
Tho white sheltland, "Snow Flake,
then nindo a decided hit by his act of
backing down the steep stairs from a
high platform.
Then tho performance went forward
with a readiness and snap which
showed good training and caieful ar
rangement of details. Ponies, dogs,
monkeys, goats nnd elephant succeeded
each other in rapid succession.
Four-footed clowns mndo fun for tho
children and seemed to enjoy it them
selves. Tho military drill, by eight ponies,
has been elaborated and was very flue.
Tho acrobatic dogs, "Teddy," who
walks on his fore feet, and "Cricket,"
who turns a genuine back handspring,
aro adopts in their line.
Tho tight-rope iwrformnnce. was ex
tremely good. "Cigar" stood on his
bend on tho rope, the nionkev walked
It, and "Archibald," the goat also did
the Blondin act with the monk on his
back.
The high jump of dog and monkey,
from the verv peak of tho canvass was
great, and the boxing match between
Corbert nnd Fitzimmons was n corker.
Tho Mc Ginty's aro getting up in tho
world. They U'-ed itocomo in nfoot
wheeling tho baby, but now they come
in their carriage and have their lack
eys and servants.
"Fargo," the trained elephant Is a
L'reat acouisltlon to the show, nnd dis
plays the surprising intelligence of the
species.
The horseback riding, jumping, horse
race, chariot race, otc, were all there,
unci the tiro department closed the per
formance with tho great act at tho
burning house, rescuing the McGlntys
and their household effects.
Dr. Mitchell says in diffi
cult cases of Anemia, he adds
cod-liver oil half an hour
after each meal and he likes
to use it in an emulsion ; that
he has watched with grow
ing surprise some listless,
feeble, creature gathering
flesh, color and wholesome
ness of mind and body from
this treatment.
"Scott's Emulsion" is cod
