deducted percentages accordingly.
For Instance, In Baker county 20 per
cent has been added to tho aggregate
valuation of horses and mules, 20 per
cent to cattle, and 20 per cent de
ducted from swine, while sheep and
goats remain the same. In Benton
coun,y 20 per cent is deducted from
the aggregate valuation of horses and
mules, 20 per cent added to cattle, 20
percent d'dueted from sheep and
goats, while swino remain tho same,
and thus are all these classifications
observed In the equalization of the
several kinds of livestock lu all the
counties except Marlon, and as to it
the state board added 10 per cent to
the aggragate valuation of livestock

The attorney general said he would
ask for a rehearing of the cause
wherein the supreme court held the
action of the state board to be in
valid, but no petition for rehearing
has been presented. With Marion
county's classifications similar to
those of last year, and the decision of
the supreme court holding tho raises
and reductions in valuations of per
sonal property void, it Is a question as
to how the board will proceed this
year.
The supreme court also held that
evidence obtained by the board
through Its secretary of a special com
mittee appointed for that purpose
might be admission. The Marlon
county assessor's blanks contain all
tho separate species of property.
From these classifications as observed
in other counties might be made up,

the Silver and Reform forces has been
established at rooms 421 and 422, Ho
tel Perkins, and J. C. Cooper, of Mc
