show at 8 o'clock Friday evening. He
was drunk when I saw him. Not dead
drunk but bad been drinking. Juab,

about woman being killed at 7:40

the testimony had been received In the
inquest over the remains of the un

case was turned over to the Jury who
soon brought in a verdlot as follews:
"That the deceased was Tayo Wat
aube, a femalo native of Japan, aged
25 yearrfflud that she came to her death
on the evening of tbe 4(b of October
by her throat being cut, also her face
and band with some sharp knife or
dagger by some person or persons un
buown to tbejury and that tbe direct
cause of death waa occasioned by tbe
