poncd to Next Week.
The Rose Show committees have
beea working bard all day arranging a
new date tor tbe show on account of
hard ralop.
DATE CHANGED.
The roses that are out are ruined by
the rain. The muddy streets are un
favorable to a parade. Ttie ladies on
the general committee uiet this morn
ing and decided lo postpone the fair to
one week from next Wednesday or
Thursday and Friday, June 6 and 7.
Tbe question of extending tbe time
for voting for Rose Queen was consid
ered, nut it was concluded to cloee tbe
vote at uoon to-day, with tbe results as
given below. Tbe contest became
very spirited and for a time it was a
neck and veck race between Miss Hut
ton and Mi's Steiuer. If Miss Btelner
had entered the race sooner she would
hive polled a larger vote, but she made
a remarkable run 8,1 it was.
