Long Beach, N. J., July 20 The
Atlantic hotel, corner Ocean and
Chelsea avenues was totally destroy
ed by fire at 3:30 yesteiday. Near
ly 400 guests were In the hotel at the
time. A panlo ensued in the auxl
ety to reach the street, and many
guests leaped from the windows.
Several were hurt and many others
were carried out by the firemen.
All escaped In their night clothes
and lost valuable waidrobcs. Up

The fire stalled in tho bakery,
spread to the main building and
thence to the other portion. Tin
