You can say there Is really nothing iu tho tumor, as I should have been sure to hove been the first to bo offi cially informed." JIM DORSEY AGAIN. A Noted Jail-Breaker tho Toils. Again in I)kni:h, Colo., Juno 4. Jim Dor sey, who wus arrested at the Union depot, turns out to bo a noted crook. W. A. Pinkerton, head of the agency, says he is a niuch-wantrd mau. Ho gives as his first ac quaintance with him the time he put him under arrest at Garfield Park, Chicago, four years ago. Dorsey gave bail and got away. Later he was arrested in Portland, Or., and escaped by breaklug jail. Ho was arrested- in Minneapolis later, but got away before the Port laud ofllcers readied that place. He was later arrested iu Los Angeles. Ho then escaped by knocking down tho sheriff in tho courtroom, and came to Denver only to fall into the toils through the vigilance of Oillcer Anderson. He is held iu the county jail to await the action of the Cali fornia authorities. Children Killed by Lightning. Scanton, Pa., Juno 4. A terrific thunder storm played hayoc throughout Lackawanna county. It began early iu the eveulug and continued until 3 iu the morniug. Three boys aud ono girl were struck by llghtuing, two being killed out right and the other fatally injured. When tho storm first came up two Polish boys, Joseph aud C.iskir Choniczky, wero caught beneath a largo oak tree iu South Scranton. Carkir waspuit of the way up the tree, while Joseph was standing underneath, when It was struck by lightning. Joseph was instantly killed and Cuskir was set on lire by the electric fluid. He was filghtfully burned before uid could reach him, and ho died this morning. Iu Hyde Park section the 2-year-old son of Sylvester Arnold was struck and fatally injured. The anti-Republican politicians who are in for anything to beat Geer are using misrepresentations as a last resort to defeat that gentleman. Rut tho points upon which they do ones upon which most rely are the Mr. Gcer's record is most sound. They charge that he voted for the omnibus road bill at the expenso of taxpayers. The bill provided that the money to be used for that pur pose should be taken from a fund of llveper cent on sales of public lands ulrvfldy on act of congress and which would not cost tho taxpayers of Marlon county a cent. The money lies in the stato treasury and cannot be used for auy other purpose. Lie No. 2 is that ho voted against the resolution to have Uuited States senators elected by vote of the peo ple und that he said the people could not be trusted on such matters. The hoiibe journals show that he voted for the resolution. There was no discussion over tho matter at the last session of the legislature and Mr. Geer favors the measure. Lie No. 3 is that Mr. Geer voted for all the road bills. Ho did vote for four where ho thought there wa extreme necessity for helping the people. Lie No. 4 is that Mr. Geer voted for the Bull Ruu water bill. The record is that Mr. Geer sustained the governor all through and by his ono vote sustained the governor's veto.
