Goon Road Work. Supervisor
C. H, Cannon has done a good piece
of road work in Yew Park addition.
It is district No. 10, and the road is
built by grading up a round roadbed
at least thirty feet wide, and putting
on top of that a twenty-foot wade
track of gravel one foot deep. This
gravel will be rolled down and al
lotted to settle until the winter rains
set in, when the loose stones will up
raked off the surface and there will
be a fine hard roadway. This is a
pretty good plan of building a road.
J. H. Albert is building the same
kind of a road from this end into
the city.
Pavincj Rock. Alderman Collins
says the street committee does not

river and can be brought down here
easily enough on barges. The rock
problem is not yet solved.
