Oregon horse nnd the Indian pony,
though many call the puro bred In
dian pony by the same name. It l
an animal not of tho highest typo of
equine Intelligence, but possessed f
wonderful endurance and almost
Indestructible durability. They arc
wonderfully adapted to climbing
the great mountain langcs, travel
lug long distances, freighting In the
mountains and performing mis
cellaneous farm work when well
broke. They are above till a very
useful saddle horse.
The scene on the street wai n
quite common one, and would have
wrung teats of pity from tho iron

any other object that had ever been
most remotely brought under the

treatment goes on. Perhaps it will
take several days to subjugate the
