former secures track privileges be

braska, over the tracks of tho latter
company. Tito Union Pacific now
operates lino from Norfolk to a con
nection with tho main lino at Col
umbus, Nebraska, and under the
new arrangement through trains
will bo run to ami from Sioux City
to connect witli tho main Hue. Tills
action is forced on tho Union Pacitlo
by tho action of tho Sioux City and
Ogdeu line, which is making rapid
preparations to build a lino to lite
Pacitlo coast.
