She is tho wife of a travel- lug salesman. She has become insane from smoking cigarettes. In court Mm. Walters was quiet, and she sat In her chair before the jury laughing at the testimony given by her friends. From testimony given in court and the statements of her husband and brother, nuulo subse quently, it appears that about two years ago Mrs. "Walters sinTered from hay fever. She was recommended to try cubcb cigarettes, which she did. From this use she contracted the habit of using the tobacco kind, and her desire for thcin became so strong that she smoked almost con stantly. Her friends admonished her to quit tho practice, but all to no avail. When she wits brought to Jail a package of the noxious things was found in her pocket.
