knowledge acquired in the public

Now, what do the.v know?
How many of the jihK understand
the simplest rules of diet, ventilation
or healthful dressing? How many
know how to treat a person sillier

could bind up a wound so as to
check the How of blood? How
many could take prompt and

when it is so imperatively required,
those fearfully important moments,
"before the doctor conies?'1 In
olden days tne house mother hud
learned in her girlhood "the use of

Tlie Whole Vital Mrehinery
Depends for the fuel, which is the
origin of its propulsory force, upon
the stomach. In that hidden alem
bic the food undergoes the chemical
changes which transmute it Into
blood, from which the system draws
the material that reimburses it for
its daily losses of tissue. These, of
course, are greatly augmented in
disease. If the stomach, therefore,
Is weakened or disordered, the sys
tem is deprived of sustenance. IIos
tetter's .Stomach Bitters can be re
lied upon to facilitate and renew di
gestion when that function has been
Interrupted by weakness of the
stomach. Biliousness, or a diver
sion of the bile from its proper
channel, which causes constipation,
is also remedied by it. Heartburn,
wind on thestomach, sick headache,
fur upon the tongue, and other
symptoms of stomach and liver dis
order, it speedily removes. Malarial
complaints of every sort, kidney and
bladder troubles, constipation, rheu
matism and neuralgia yield when It
Is used regularly and persistently.
