whose identity has not yet been ascer
tained. .The assassin, who is about 15
years old, obtained entrance to the gov
ernor's office and Ured three times at,

reached the street, where he was ar

The youth who shot the governor has
been identified as Malli Hjalmar Bein-ikke-.
who admits he is a revolutionist,
lie hails from Kurikke parish, in the
northwest part of Finland, but has re
cently been livinsr in Stockholm to
avoid arrest on acconnt of his revolu
tionary, ideas. He returned four days
ago to Finland by way of Tornea, and
apent three days in Viborg, but de
clines to reveal his stopping place. Gov
ernor Miasoredoff has been most ener
getic in the Bnssification of Finland,
and memorials have been sent to the
estates petitioning hia removal on ac
count of his alleged illegal methods
and the general condition in his prov
ince whieh were pronounced to be in
tolerable. Beinekke, who lost one of
his arms recently in a railway aeeident,
when asked if his name was Keiaikke
replied: "The police of Helsingfors
know me, my motive and the gover
nor's record." The crime was com-
