of his failure to walk up to a fly which

had promised a visiting delegation of
Albanyites to pay their expense of the
trip if his boys lost, so he received
many congratulations on the victory
even from his opponents, for Preble is
a mighty nice fellow.
The name of the Vancouver Infants
will now be changed to the Albany Boi
lers, as the sporting fraternity of that
city closed negotiations yesterday with
Manager Preble and became the proud
possessors of the aggregation. It is un
derstood that the standing of the team
under the Vancouver badge will be wip
ed out and a new record will begin
with their, appearance as Albany pro
teges. The elub is composed of good
men and they will make a' creditable
showing- before the season ends.
It is stated that the management of
the Raglans imposed a fine on Suess for
the work of Sunday and suspended him
from play for one month.
Xehring, the first baseman of the
Raglans, covered himself with glory in
several instances, but particularly when
he came to the-home plate, resnceede a
ball that was fumbled on a mix-up of
players and touched out a base-runner.
Harper, the Vancouver left fielder, did
great work also, while Johnson showed
wonderful speed in base-running.
The next games will be on Thursday,
the Raglans .playing the Shamrocks at i
Roseburg, and the Rollers playing at
home with the Eugene Illnes.
Following is Sunday's score:
