In Eastern Oregon the maximum temperatures ranged between 48 degrees and! 78 de grees and the minimum temperatures between 34 degrees and 56 degrees. Both fall and spring wheat continue to make -satisfactory progress, except on low and poorly drained land) in IKe Willamette valley, where the fall wheat kt-eps yellow and has a sickly appear ance. It! is thought now that some o this yellow wheat will not mature and that it will later be cut for fodder, Complaints are also being made that in X'matUla jpounty the fall wheat Is unssually weedy.
