sitlon In the House to the bill for the
admission of Oklahoma, .Arizona and
New Mexico collapsed at the last min
ute today and th bill wun passed with
out divisions. The real test came on
the amendment offered by Overstreet
(Ind.) To Join New Mexico and Arizona
and admit them as the State of Monte
zuma. It was beaten 28 to 10. -
The closing soenes of the debate wers
accompanied by a dramatic Incident.

who haa been fighting for the admis
sion of the territory for a dozen years,

against Overstreet'g amendment, when
he was seized with a rush of blood to
the head. The prompt administration
